Chairperson of the Board - Doreen Huntington

Doreen Huntington is currently the Supervisor of the Latent Print Unit for the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and maintains current certification through the International Association for Identification as a Certified Latent Print Examiner. Doreen began her career in law enforcement in 1985 in Ohio with the Cleveland Police Department. She began in tenprint comparison and advanced to latent prints. In 1991, Doreen moved to Wisconsin and became employed through the Wisconsin Department of Justice in their State Crime Lab in Milwaukee. As a Forensic Scientist III, Doreen specialized in Latent Fingerprint Analysis and Footwear Analysis. In 1994, Doreen accepted the position with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office to manage their new AFIS section.

Doreen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice from the Ohio State University. She achieved Latent Print Certification with the IAI in 1993.

Doreen is a Sustaining Active-Life member of the International Association for Identification (IAI) and is currently a member of the IAI’s Latent Print Subcommittee. She is a Life Active member of the North Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification (NCIAI). She is currently the President of the NCIAI. Doreen implemented and has hosted a Latent Print Examiners meeting for fellow North Carolina examiners since 2007.
