President - Adria Gharati
Adria Gharati is currently a Latent Print Examiner for the City of Orlando, FL Police department, and has been preforming latent print examinations for over 18 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice & a Certificate in Criminalistics from the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, TX, and began her Latent Print Examiner training as a college intern for the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office in Fort Worth, TX. After graduating from UNT, she was accepted to the Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine Latent Print Fellowship Program in Richmond, VA.
During her career, Adria has had the honor of working for local, state, and federal laboratories to include the City of Durham, NC Police Department, the Virginia Department of Forensic Science, the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Western Laboratory, and the United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) Expeditionary Forensics Division where she deployed twice and worked in forensic laboratories in Afghanistan for the Department of Defense. Her experience working at multiple laboratories has given her an opportunity to train and teach latent print analysis, comparisons, and chemical processing techniques to CSIs, law enforcement officers, forensic educators, national and international students, as well as US military and coalition forces.
Adria is also currently an active member of the International Association for Identification (IAI) and the North Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification (NCIAI).
