Treasurer - Heather Black
Heather Black is a Forensic Scientist III in the Latent Evidence Section of the North Carolina State Crime Laboratory. Heather has been with the Crime Laboratory since January of 2012. She spent the first two years of her career with the Crime Laboratory in the Serology Unit of the Forensic Biology Section in Raleigh, NC. At the end of 2013, Heather began working at the Crime Laboratory’s Greensboro, NC location in the Latent Evidence Section, where she currently examines latent print, footwear, and tire track evidence.
Heather earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Biology and in Criminal Justice from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Heather is a current member of the International Association for Identification (IAI), as well as the North Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification (NCIAI) where she is currently serving as the division treasurer.
Heather is currently certified by the International Association for Identification as a Certified Latent Print Examiner (CLPE).
